Pool Safety Systems' fence is a removable mesh pool fence designed specifically to provide a safety barrier around residential swimming pools, spas and other water features including ponds. The fence is installed in sections to provide convenience for easy removal and reinstallation by you, the homeowner. Available in 42, 48, or 60 inch heights.
How does it work?
Our tension based system utilizes a series of 15 foot sections of fence with inserts for mounting in non-conducting polypropylene sleeves core drilled 4 inches deep into a concrete deck or other substantial surface, connected in series at the top with 2 1/2 inch nickel-plated brass safety latches with stainless springs.

What all this adds up to is strength and durability. The fence remains sturdy by tension supplied from Quad-X core reinforced aluminum poles that slip into your deck. Pool fencing can be installed in almost any type of deck.
Our mesh
We use high quality Textilene® polyester with an incredible strength rating.
Life Saver Pool Fence is constructed with Textilene® polyester mesh fabric utilizing a mildew resistant polyvinyl coating that provides years of use in the harshest sunlight and the most extreme winter. It's woven with a continuous basket weave that boasts an incredible tensile strength rating of 270 lbs. per inch making it impossible to rip under normal use.
Our mesh has reinforced quad stitched vinyl borders.
Our Quad-Stitched border
Our border is a high quality vinyl - it can outlast the old style cloth border. Don't settle for anything but the best.
Bordered on all four sides by a reinforced vinyl material with a rating of 387 lbs., the fence is kept from sagging and the necessary tension is maintained throughout at the top and bottom. All borders are Quad-Stitched with the strongest marine thread to allow for years of abuse from direct sunlight and the elements. The border is an important factor in the overall strength of the pool fence. Be sure your pool fence has four lines of stitching in a vinyl border. The finished mesh is securely mounted on Quad-X core reinforced aluminum poles.
Our poles
Pool Safety Systems uses the strongest Quad-X core aluminum pole.
All Pool Safety Systems poles are powder coated in any of these colors:
Black, Brown, Tan, Green, White or our Silver Mill Finish.
Poles are constructed of heavy gauge aluminum. Pole spacing is at 36 inches. QUAD-X core aluminum poles are stronger than standard fiber reinforced aluminum poles and should always be considered over standard aluminum. Aluminum is the only viable material for use in pool fence poles.
Our poles are powder coated and reinforced with aluminum cove molding strips attached to each pole.
Independent testing in the United States and France has shown our QUAD-X core aluminum poles to offer far more strength than is required by strict local ordinances around the world.
Our stainless steel screws
Pool Safety Systems uses only round head stainless steel screws.
Round head stainless steel screws are utilized for securely attaching the aluminum cove molding to the poles and mesh. Round screws are less likely than hexagon shaped screws to cause abrasions.
Our fence sections
Standard sections supplied are 15 feet making it easy for you to remove and reinstall the fence.
A standard section weighs only 14 lbs. The poles' surfaces are finished for handling and to prevent injuries from physical contact, and all poles are capped to provide a neat finished appearance. Each aluminum cove molding strip is rounded down. Be sure your pool fence has no sharp parts.
Ground sleeves and ground caps
Easy-slide sleeves and UV inhibitor treated deck caps.
Plastic sleeves are inserted into the ground at the end of the installation process so that your aluminum poles have the best fit and will easily slide in and out if you decide to remove the fence when children are not going to be present. Ground caps fit into the sleeve to keep debris from the holes and provide an attractive covering. Our ground caps feature super-hard plastic and a broad top, completely covering the black sleeve. Each cap is infused with a special UV inhibitor so they'll never crack or deteriorate outside.
Our safety latch
The most recent upgrade to the Life Saver Pool Fence, the Snap Safety Latch, is a break-through in high quality pool fencing.
This new latch is nickel-plated with a stainless steel spring, guaranteeing that it will never rust, corrode, tarnish, or deteriorate in any fashion. As with all parts of the Life Saver Pool Fence, the Snap Safety Latch is covered by our Lifetime Warranty. The Snap Safety Latch is the first pool fence latch that can be used by both right and left-handed parents. There are no sharp hooks or points to hurt you or your child. It's the safest latching system anywhere.
Our safety gate
Pool Safety System's self-closing, self-latching gate utilizes a square frame that can support itself with or without the pool fence.
If you are comparing safety gates with other companies, take a good look at ours and take a good look at theirs. Notice that we have strong double poles on both sides of the gate. Also notice both the top and the bottom of the double poles which support the gate are welded. This means added strength and added safety!
Our gate is totally removable or it can be permanently anchored. The gate is constructed of 1-1/4" aluminum square stock with a strong 1/8" wall. The welded finished product is powder coated.
THE MAGNA-LATCH Ultra-Reliable GATE Latching System
Pool Safety Systems uses only the most proven gate latch and hinge system.
The Magna-Latch has been tested to more than 400,000 cycles. MAGNA-LATCH gate latches are magnetically triggered safety devices that have revolutionized the safety, reliability and child-resistance of swimming pool, childcare and household gates.
The unique operating principle is brilliantly simple. As the gate swings shut, a powerful 'permanent' magnet draws a latch bolt from one housing into the other, latching it securely. No amount of shaking, pushing or pulling can disengage the latch. The concept is so advanced it boasts international awards for design excellence.

Parents looking for the highest level of safety can now choose the added option of the Safety Turtle® Wireless Gate Alarm installed on their self-closing, self-latching gate.
With the introduction of its weatherproof wireless gate monitor, Safety Turtle® now offers two layers of protection in private and communal residences. The Base Station, normally located in the house, alarms when a Turtle wearer falls in the water. Alarming is also triggered by the opening of an armed exterior gate - immediately if the adult pass switch is not activated, or within 11 seconds if the gate is not closed again.

Not all requirements are the same
New pools
If you are having a new pool installed, please check with your local Building Inspection office for the required height to pass inspection for an acceptable isolation barrier for child safety.
Depending on your location, some cities may require 5 foot height for newly built pools while others will accept the 4 foot height for new pool construction.
Existing pools
If you have an older existing pool already in the ground, chances are your city will not require a particular height. It would then be your choice of preferred height. Check with your city office to be on the safe side. Be sure they know it's an "existing" pool and not a new pool installation.
Our most popular fence ordered by customers is the standard Black, 4 feet (48 inches) high, utilizing reinforced standard aluminum support poles.
The mesh width between poles: you have a choice!
Our fence is manufactured with an industry standard of 36 inches between support poles. It is our standard and most popular model of fence.
The 30 inch mesh between poles is a special order and is available to you as well at no additional cost.
Our support pole spacing not only adds to the safety and strength of the fence, but also provides more control for fence turns and free form type installations. The 4 foot height is used as the standard for US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommendations for pool safety fencing.
The configuration of your fence
Fences can be installed between two walls or around the entire circumference of the pool. Your Safety Technician will evaluate the fence configuration for utmost safety when he is visiting your property for your Free Estimate appointment. At that time you and the Technician can discuss your preferred layout and works best for your family's needs.
Different colors
You can order black, white, brown, tan, green or white. You can mix colors — in other words a brown pole with tan mesh or a black mesh with Silver Mill Finished poles or just go with one solid color for both mesh and fence.
The most popular colors in Southern California are solid all black or solid all brown.
Options for different mesh colors, pole colors, alternative border trims, etc. are all intended to accommodate individual tastes or preferences in the pool fence's appearance.
